Josep Martí was born in l'Ametlla de Mar (Baix Ebre – Catalonia – Spain). He has been manager of Communication in the Catalan Government since February 2011. Previously, in 2003, he founded Map Communications, a company that he managed until February 2011 and through which he  participated in the design and implementation of the communication strategy of many companies and institutions such as Sharp, Ros Roca, Unió Catalana d'Hospitals, Petrocat, Daewoo, Gesaworld, HLL, Fòrum Ambiental, etc.He has taught Corporate Communication at the Blanquerna School of Communications (Ramon Llull University) and he was a professor of Communication in Healthcare Management at the International University of Catalonia. He directed a health department management magazine and he was editorial board member of Intransit, published by the CatDem Foundation.He began his career at La Mañana newspaper; he also worked as editor for the newspaper AVUI and as a columnist for the digital newspaper elsingulardigital.com. He has participated in radio talk shows such as Catalunya Radio's l’Oracle and La Caixa dels Trons on local radio stations.
