Martin began working in the Clarín newspaper in 1993 as fellow editor in the politics section. He was later appointed as the director of institutional relations, and in 2000 became manager of external communications. Presently, he is responsible for corporate communications of Grupo Clarín, including their representation in various domestic and international institutions and their corporate and social responsibility strategy. He has lectured in Argentina and abroad about the role of the media, right to information, freedom of the press and professional values in the newspaper industry. He is vice president of the Association of the Argentine Journalistic Entities (Asociación de Entidades Periodísticas Argentinas - ADEPA) and a member or the board of directors of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA).  He is also an advisor to various NGOs in Argentina including Escuelas del Bicentenário, Help Argentina and Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales.
